The Unique Space of Modality: A Safe Haven for All

I’ve always enjoyed teaching Pilates and Stretch Therapy classes at Modality. Honestly, I should start calling it "Adult Naptime"! It’s a space where we can unwind, and I believe it’s important to find moments of relaxation throughout the week. The key here is consistency.

I’ve had clients open up to me, expressing concerns about meditation, worrying that it may conflict with their religious beliefs. This is why Modality operates on the principle of being non-religious, non-spiritual, and non-political. Our space is truly open to people of all backgrounds and faiths, without any hidden agendas or impositions. Neither Modality nor its affiliates teach personal beliefs in any session. You're not being led down any spiritual path, nor is there anything mystical going on. We respect your right to practice or not practice your spiritual beliefs however you choose.

Our Stretch Therapy is not yoga but incorporates universal bodily movement that can be meditative, emphasizing mindfulness, body awareness, and breathwork—three essential tools for both mental and physical well-being. These sessions focus on becoming aware of your body, feeling present, and simply breathing. Who or what you think of, pray to, or reflect on during your quiet time is entirely up to you. This is what sets Modality apart—we’re here to support your journey without imposing any outside beliefs.

Our coaches come from diverse backgrounds, and while they may share their personal beliefs outside of sessions, they never bring them into the practice space. We emphasize community and kindness here. It’s important not to judge anyone for their beliefs or life experiences. We are all here to learn from each other and grow in a respectful environment.

As a proud Bible-believing Christian, I understand the stigma and discrimination that can arise for people from all walks of life, including Christians. Jesus taught us to love everyone, including those whose lives may look different from ours. This is exactly why I wanted to create Modality: a place where people of all backgrounds—whether Democrat or Republican, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, Gay, Straight, and beyond—can come together, respect each other, and feel safe being exactly who they are.

At Modality, we honor individuality and embrace diversity. We are a space for community, love, and growth. No matter who you are or where you come from, you are welcome here.
